TSMC confirms its 2nm chips entered volume production in Q4 2025
See how this story connectsTSMC updated its website to confirm that N2, its 2nm process and its first with nanosheet transistors, entered volume production in the fourth quarter of 2025, as planned; its 2nm production sites are Fab 20 and Fab 22. TSMC rates N2 at 10-15% more speed at the same power, or 25-30% less power at the same speed, than its 3nm process. An enhanced N2P version is slated for the second half of 2026.
Why it matters
AI chip and phone designers could book the densest process in commercial production, with Taiwan holding the leading node at home.
