Draft Global AI Hub Law

ProposedBillBinding

Draft law creating private, extended and virtual ‘AI hubs’ in Saudi Arabia where data and services could be governed by a guest state’s laws under a bilateral agreement (private and extended hubs) or by an approved designated foreign state’s laws without one (virtual hubs), a data-embassy model.

Why it matters

Would let hyperscalers and foreign governments host AI compute and data in Saudi Arabia under foreign law. This bears on sovereign-cloud and data-localisation planning.
