Anthropic gives METR employee-like access to evaluate its AI models
See how this story connectsAnthropic has onboarded six METR employees with company hardware, office space and access to internal tools and systems. METR will publish its risk assessments, and Anthropic can require redaction only for narrow, pre-defined categories of information. Anthropic is also working with SecureBio and Accenture as evaluators and is in early discussions with Hugging Face and others.
Why it matters
Anthropic says it cannot publicly share all of its safety information because some could help malicious actors or is commercially sensitive, so it is giving METR deep access and letting METR publish its own conclusions.
