AWS announced Trainium2 and Graviton4 at re:Invent on 28 November 2023. AWS said Trainium2 trains up to four times faster than the first generation with three times the memory, and that UltraClusters can scale to 100,000 chips and 65 exaflops; Anthropic said it would build future models on Trainium.

Why it matters
