Omnibus EU-adaptation bill whose AI provisions designate France’s AI Act authorities, assigning supervision to about 15 bodies (e.g., ANSM, ACPR) with a central role for the CNIL; the DGCCRF and DGE coordinate, with technical support from ANSSI. The Senate adopted it on 18 Feb 2026; it was sent to the National Assembly on 20 Feb 2026.

Why it matters

France has not yet completed national designation of AI Act enforcers by law, so the split of supervision between CNIL and sector regulators remains provisional.
