Google introduced the Gemini 3.5 family, starting with Gemini 3.5 Flash, which it said is its strongest agentic and coding model, outperforming Gemini 3.1 Pro on Terminal-Bench 2.1 (76.2%) and GDPval-AA, and released it in the Gemini app, AI Mode in Search, the API and enterprise products. Google said 3.5 Pro would follow the next month.

Why it matters

Google’s fast, cheap tier overtook its previous flagship on agent benchmarks and shipped to Search users at once.
