Meta released Muse Spark, the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, to power Meta AI in its app and website, with rollout to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and AI glasses to follow and a private API preview for select partners. Meta said larger models are in development. Muse Spark was released as a proprietary model.

Why it matters
