Meta released Llama 4 Scout and Llama 4 Maverick, natively multimodal open-weights models and its first built with a mixture-of-experts design, each with 17 billion active parameters (16 and 128 experts). Scout fits on a single NVIDIA H100 GPU and supports a 10-million-token context. Meta previewed Llama 4 Behemoth, a 288 billion active parameter teacher model still in training.
