LG AI Research released EXAONE 4.0 on 15 July 2025 in a 32-billion-parameter version and a 1.2-billion-parameter on-device version, with weights on Hugging Face for research, academic and educational use. The model combines fast answers with a step-by-step reasoning mode. LG reported scores of 81.8 on MMLU-Pro, 75.4 on GPQA-Diamond and 85.3 on AIME 2025, and offered API access through FriendliAI.
