The Technology Innovation Institute released Falcon 3 in four sizes (1B, 3B, 7B and 10B parameters), each with base and instruct versions plus quantised builds. The models were trained on 14 trillion tokens, up from 5.5 trillion for the previous generation, run on light hardware including laptops and come under an Apache 2.0-based licence with an acceptable use policy. TII said Falcon3-10B led open models under 13 billion parameters on Hugging Face’s leaderboard at release.

Why it matters

Developers got Emirati open-weights models small enough to run on a single GPU or a laptop, covering English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
