Anthropic expanded its Cyber Verification Program into three tiers that give vetted security professionals access to its most capable models, including Claude Mythos 5.1, with fewer cyber blocks: Defense Access for defensive work, Red Team Access for authorised penetration testing, and Specialized Access for testing safety-critical systems such as power grids and flight systems. Specialized Access applicants are reviewed in collaboration with the US government, and Project Glasswing members move into that tier.

Why it matters

Hospitals, utilities, security firms and individual researchers can now apply for Mythos-class models for defensive work, with the riskiest testing vetted with the US government.
