Try to carry out AI research and development, spread its results, train specialist staff, and cooperate with national and local government AI measures.

Scope

Read in the official Japanese text on e-Gov (Act No. 53 of 2025); the Japanese Law Translation database returned HTTP 403, so the Cabinet Office provisional English overview was used as a cross-check. Effort duty for universities, national R&D agencies and other bodies doing AI R&D. The schema has no cooperation type; public-sector-use is the nearest fit.

Penalty. No penalty in the Act.
