Anthropic released Claude Duet on 22 October 2026, an agent app for professionals and small-business owners, on iOS, Android and claude.ai as a waitlisted research preview for US subscribers on the Pro and Max plans, who share their existing usage limits. It runs on Anthropic’s Opus 5.5 model, sends a daily briefing, handles work from scheduling meetings to building financial forecasts and web apps, and watches the accounts a user connects, raising items that need attention instead of waiting to be asked. Duet works with more than 6,000 connectors in the Claude Marketplace, including Gmail and Slack, and can pay through Stripe’s Link wallet and Shopify’s Shop Pay. Anthropic said it asks for user approval before sensitive actions, and that the agent can misjudge urgency and is weaker at personal tasks such as booking tickets.
