Google makes Gemini 4 Argon generally available
See how this story connectsGoogle made Gemini 4 Argon available globally on 13 October 2026, two weeks after a first release limited to vetted cyber defenders. Developers get it through the paid Gemini API tier in AI Studio and Android Studio, Google AI Ultra subscribers in Google Antigravity, and Ultra and Pro subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search. Google says Argon ranks first on the Vals Index, which measures performance on finance, coding, legal and tax work. The introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens runs to 30 November 2026, after which $4 and $20 apply. Google DeepMind’s safety post says Argon solved all 12 of its end-to-end simulated cyberattack scenarios, up from five for the previous generation, and runs behind three layers of real-time protection.
Why it matters
Google’s top model moved from restricted cyber-defender access to paying developers and subscribers, and Google is offering 10,000 scientists its highest Antigravity usage tier free for six months, subject to selection.
