Meta launches Muse, a personal AI agent that browses, books and buys

See how this story connects

Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent powered by Muse Spark that can send emails, fill in forms, book travel and make purchases, with access to a browser, file system and terminal, and that keeps working after the app is closed. It launched in the US on iOS, Android, the web and WhatsApp, free for most users with paid tiers at $20 and $100 a month. Purchases use one-time Stripe cards, and a system called Sentinel limits what the agent can send out.

Why it matters

Meta put an agent that can spend money into its consumer apps, with one-time payment cards and limits on what it can send out.
