OpenAI released the GPT-5.6 family for general availability across ChatGPT, Codex and the API after its limited preview: Sol as the flagship, Terra for everyday work and Luna for fast, cheap use, presented as capability tiers that can be updated separately. On 30 July it cut Luna’s price by 80% and Terra’s by 20%.
