Meta Superintelligence Labs released Muse Image, an image generation model available on the Meta AI app, meta.ai, Instagram Stories in the US, and WhatsApp in limited countries. The model uses search and coding tools, performs self-refinement, and scales with test-time compute. Muse Video, built on the same base, is in preview and ranks No. 3 on Arena for text-to-video by human-preference Elo as of 5 July 2026.

Why it matters

Muse Image supports image generation, editing and multi-reference composition, and images made in the Meta AI app and on meta.ai carry Content Seal watermarks that identify them as AI-generated.
