OpenAI released GPT-5, a system that routes each request between a fast model and a deeper reasoning model (GPT-5 thinking) using a real-time router. It became available to all ChatGPT users, with more usage for Plus subscribers and a GPT-5 pro version with extended reasoning for Pro subscribers.
