Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launched the National AI Office (NAIO) in Kuala Lumpur on 12 December 2024. The office sits under the Ministry of Digital, after Cabinet approval on 28 August 2024, and MyDIGITAL Corporation guides it in its first year. Its job is to plan and coordinate AI adoption, research and policy across government and industry.
