Visa extended its Agentic Ready programme, which lets issuers and partners test agent-initiated payments with live cards in controlled settings, from the UK and Europe (20+ partners live) to Asia Pacific and Latin America with 85+ more partners. Visa said its Intelligent Commerce platform already has live agent-driven transactions in the US.
Why it matters
Card networks are setting the practical rules for agent identity, spending limits and dispute handling before regulators have, which will shape liability when agents pay.
